Major League Soccer announced it’s Fan Starting XI ahead of the MLS All-Star.
Ibrahimovic, Vela, Ciman Make All-Star Game
Three members from the Los Angeles-based MLS clubs made the lineup. The list includes the LAFC captain, Laurent Ciman, who is making his third appearance, and Mexican international Carlos Vela.
The Belgian international defender previously made the All-Star game in 2015 and 2016 while a member of the Montreal Impact.
Vela made the roster through EA Sports “More Than A Vote” Challenge. This challenge comprised of fans scoring goals on FIFA 18 from a select group of forwards. The former Arsenal star is a key man in LAFC’s attack, having found the back of the net seven times, and compiling five assists. He is also an integral part to Mexico’s success at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
In his first season with the LA Galaxy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will head to Atlanta with the rest of the league’s best. The Swedish striker has played in 11 matches for the Galaxy, but his contributions have been crucial for the club. Ibrahimovic has already scored seven times, which leads the league, and is one of the more efficient strikers in the league.
